We bought Attention Seeker with the idea that he’d improve for a step up in distance. Despite being by the sprinting sire Cotai Glory, a couple of his runs suggested stamina was his game, and as a front runner with his beautiful long stride, we hoped he might develop into a useful dual-purpose type.

Unfortunately his first season with us didn’t go to plan! His homework was always very promising but translating that to the racecourse proved tricky. He showed he stayed 10f at Beverley, and ran a great race at Carlisle despite running too keenly in front. We just didn’t manage to get all the stars aligned, and he finished the season 13lbs lower than he started it.

He was entered in the August online sales, but due to picking up a slight injury, he had to miss that, and we decided instead to give him a good holiday. The plan now is to start again in early 2027, and we hope that if he can learn to race properly he’ll work his way back up the handicap.

Initial buy-in: £50
Monthly costs : £28 (starting January 1st 2027)
Current syndicate term: to 31 October 2027. If the syndicate carries on beyond this date, your share is unaffected unless the horse is sold or you decide to leave.
