Cotton Bud is expected to stay well, and her pedigree is a big part of that. She is by Cloth Of Stars and from the family of Coastal Path, Martaline and Reefscape — all proven high-class stayers — and was deliberately saved through the winter to give her time to develop, with a turf campaign in mind. The plan is to campaign her in three-year-old staying handicaps, where we hope she can progress enough to take her chance at some of the bigger meetings later in the season.
